Technological English

This semester, the English III course has been very different than previous English courses. Lisette Lunar, our teacher, has implemented new forms to make a little more pleasant the learning process.

First, the use of the internet, next the use of applications like Blogger and platforms like Modulo 7, furthermore, the use of resources like forums, blogs and mails to do homework and exercises giving us the opportunity to see the execution of the language in different areas of life.

Another important thing was the classes distributed in another environment different from the traditional classrooms, the opportunity to receive classes in internet labs was really helpful to obtain better results in the improving of our skills to write, to speak and understand the English.

Creatures clone selves in face to danger

During a scientific experiment, in which creatures were placed in different situations, different groups of sand dollar larvae, the first of the groups stayed in a safe place, meanwhile, the other group stayed exposed to possible predators. Scientists discovered that the group that was exposed to danger reacted forming embryos genetically equal to them, with the unique difference that these were smaller than the original creature. The scientists concluded that this reaction it’s possibly a response from creatures that cloning themselves, when they are in danger, to guarantee to survival of his genetic information and a reason of it’s the size of the clone, being this smaller it’s most difficult to be captured by the predators because they are less visible.

Robert Perez the best batter of Venezuela

Throughout the time Robert Perez one has become the most important batter of the Professional League of Baseball of Venezuela. The numbers of Perez during the semifinals, mainly, have been amazing; in this phase owns record in six offensive departments, without telling that in regular phase he also owns matchless numbers.

Perez has played from 1988, year in which signed, and during their entire race with the Cardinals of Lara; with this team he has obtained four championships and two sub championships. With the cardinals Perez has worked hard to be a big baseball player. Robert in addition has reinforced to other teams in several opportunities, has even represented Venezuela in the Series of the Caribbean with other teams different to the Cardinals.

Robert Perez in the season of 1989/1990 was named Rookie of the year, in season 1995/1996 was the Most Valuable Player, Most Valuable Player in the final series in season 1996/1997 and repeated in the season 2001/2002. At the moment Robert owns the marks of Home runs by life in regular season with 106, also in semifinals with 27, and next to these the leaderships of played games, runs batted in, times at bat, runs, hits and doubles.

In addition, he became the only player in hitting three home runs in the same game in two occasions in his career. Also he set another record to his name like the only player in arriving at 1000 hits, 500 runs batted in and 500 runs. In response to all these reasons Robert Perez is the best offensive player of the Professional League of Baseball of Venezuela.
